CI IA III Come to the driftless region of Northeast Iowa for the third annual festival of Contact Improvisation in Iowa! Come jam, study, play, eat & commune with the dancers of the midwest.   Visit Decorah, Iowa and experience the beauty in nature, state of the art dance studios, live music and incredible dancing!  

2018 Jam hosts and teachers to be announced later this year. 

Spots available on a first come, first serve basis.

Sliding Scale:  $150 (Student or Unemployed)  /  $180 (Arts Professional)  /  $200 (Full Price)  / *room & board not included

TBD: The typical day includes: a warm up, intensive class, fundamental skills, outdoor time, open jamming and ice cream! We will end the festival with a closing circle.

Pulpit Rock Campground:

Rates: Tents without electric are $15/night, w/ electric: $18/night

Pulpit Rock Campground accepts only day of arrival reservations, but anticipates having ample room in early august. The campground is within walking distance of campus.

Hutchinson Farmiliy Campground:

Hutchinson Family Farm Campground has spacious, natural riverside campsites for you and your family to enjoy. Both electrical and primitive campsites are available.

Each cabin offers a scenic view of the Upper Iowa River and has a refrigerator, microwave, and fire ring with grate which makes "roughing it" a pleasure. Although the cabins do not have running water, they are conveniently located near the modern shower and restroom.

Rates:

Primitive Camping:  $15/unit

Electrical Camping: $25/unit

Cabins and Tiny Houses: $50-100

Hutchinson Family Campground accepts reservations. The campground is a 10 minute drive from the Luther College campus.

There is a variety of options for staying in Decorah through AirBnb. Many locations are within walking or biking distance from the campus.

Pepperfield Project:

Pepperfield Farm has two double occupancy bedrooms with two queen beds. $100/night per room, $25 per extra guest. Lodging at the Center includes a hearty farm breakfast. If there are friends or family in the area that would like to join you for a meal on the farm let us know and we can prepare everything for you. $15 for breakfast or lunch and dinner prices range from $30 on up. All dinners include at least 4 courses.

This location is driving distance from campus.

Home Stay:

Participants who choose a home stay  will be provided accommodations with a Decorah community member who lives within walking distance of campus. To sign up for home stay, please send an email to jennruthschmidt@gmail.com. This option requires a fee of $60 to be paid by cash or check at the start of the event and is available at limited request.
